Children’s Dental Health through Prevention and Education (ChilD-HoPE) Project
With funding from Philos Health, we are currently implementing an innovative school-based dental project in two schools in Jagna, a municipality in Bohol, Philippines. Currently, ICHECK Inc. runs two school-based dental clinics – at the Jagna Central Elementary School (JCES) and at Boctol Elementary School (BES). The Jagna Central Elementary School houses the Molineaux Children’s Dental Clinic, with support from primary donors Susan and Christopher Molineaux. The BES Clinic, on the other hand, is named Boctol Rotary Children’s Dental Clinic, with funding support from the Rotary Clubs in California.
Philos Health is a US based non-profit charitable organization incorporated in the State of California (in San Francisco). They have been partnering with local government and NGOs in Jagna for the past 10 years to provide medical care and expand the health care services in Jagna and nearby towns. It is an all-volunteer organization visiting the Philippines 3 times per year to provide medical, surgical and dental care. Their existing projects involve a successful nutritional program to address malnutrition, a diabetes and hypertension program, the establishment of a rural health clinic with birthing rooms, and the creation of Jagna Community Radio.
Philos Health actively supervises the ChilD-Hope Dental project and coordinates with full-time and part-time dentists stationed at these clinics.

Sakayan sa Paglaum (Boat of Hope) Project
After Typhoon Queenie left many fisherfolks in Jagna without means of livelihood, Philos included in their annual fundraising to support the subsistence fisherfolks with fishing boats. ICHECK coordinated with 2 barangay captains, at least 10 were identified as beneficiaries. 10 beneficiaries were provided with boats, 8 boats of which were funded by PhilosHealth while the rest were provided by members of the board of ICHECK.
