Philos Health is a US based non-profit charitable organization incorporated in the State of California (in San Francisco). They have been partnering with local government and NGOs in Jagna for the past 10 years to provide medical care and expand the health care services in Jagna and nearby towns. It is an all-volunteer organization visiting the Philippines 3 times per year to provide medical, surgical and dental care. Their existing projects involve a successful nutritional program to address malnutrition, a diabetes and hypertension program, the establishment of a rural health clinic with birthing rooms, and the creation of Jagna Community Radio.
The Department of Education is the agency of the Philippine government responsible for ensuring access to, promoting equity in, and improving the quality of basic education. It is the main agency tasked to manage and govern the Philippine system of basic education.
We partnered with DepEd Bohol and the DepEd district office in Jagna to set up two medical clinics in the municipality. The clinics are located at Jagna Central Elementary School and Boctol Elementary School.
