
Mr. Michael Canares is the managing consultant of Step Up Consulting, a social enterprise providing development research, capacity building, and financial management services to different organizations. He is an expert in program development and management, monitoring and evaluation, and institution building. He is currently the chairman of the board of trustees of ICHECK.

Dr. Winifreda B. Cagulada, MD was the Chief of Hospital of Teodoro B. Galagar District Hospital in Jagna, Bohol for for 18 years. She is an admired hospital administrator with expertise on obstetrics-gynecology and hospital administration. She recently retired from public service and is now serving as ICHECK’s Board Treasurer.

Ms. Doris Dinorog-Obena is a gender and local governance specialist. She has 11 years experience in governance promoting child protection, women’s development and environmental protection. A community leader and advocate for establishing social enterprises in the rural areas, she, together with 165 people established the Bohol Northwestern Colleges.

Atty. Charles Edulan is owner and chief professional at Edulan & Edulan Law, Accounting, and Realty Office. He is a certified public accountant and a lawyer by profession who ranked 6th placer in the real estate brokers examination. Atty. Edulan is also a professor for accounting, auditing, business law, and taxation at the University of Bohol.

Rufa Pajo, Phd. s a member of the faculty of Bohol Institute of Technology – International College in Jagna and is currently serving as its School Directress. She is a teacher for 17 years and is also serving as Chairperson of the Jagna Community Radio Council. She currently lead the operational management of ICheck Inc.

Rene Espinosa is currently working for the Provincial Government of Bohol and has been a member of the legislative team of then Congressman Art Yap. A staunch advocate of sustainable development and people empowerment, Rene has been at the forefront of several advocacies on these issues in the province.

Nimfa Abaya-Lloren is a development worker for more than 30 years and pioneered the establishment of the community radio council in Jagna and also acted as the chair and station manager of the Jagna’s community radio. She is an expert in program and project management, comprehensive development planning, gender and development, monitoring and evaluation, financial management, and community organizing.

Mr. Exuperio C. Lloren has held different elective positions in the local government of Jagna for 16 years, first as a barangay captain for one year, then as a member of the Municipal Council for 3 years. Later, he ran and won as Municipal Mayor for three consecutive terms before serving as Vice Mayor for one term.
